HOW DOES NET METERING WORK?
01
INSTALLATION & SETUP:
The installation of solar panels on your company premises is the first stage in creating a net metering solar system. Sunlight is converted into power using these panels. The energy flowing in both ways – to and from the grid – is then measured using a bi-directional meter.
02
GENERATION AND CONSUMPTION OF ENERGY:
When your solar panels produce more energy than your business requires, the excess is transferred back into the grid. When your energy usage exceeds solar output, the excess energy is credited to your account and can be used.
03
BILLING AND CREDIT:
Tracking the net difference between energy spent and energy generated is part of the billing process. Credits are accumulated during periods of high solar production. When energy demand exceeds solar output, you can use these credits. You are only invoiced for the net power utilized after a billing cycle.
